Duo-Back® is equipped with a unique dual backrest, with the two elements moving independently of each other.

Height adjustable, the backrests correctly support the back of any user. The space between the pads allows the spine to move freely. Instead of putting pressure on the spine, support is evenly distributed throughout the back muscles.

The backrests are pivotally mounted enabling them to move in all three axes – forwards and backwards, up and down and left to right. The shape and mobility of the backrests ensures that they follow the contours of the back as it moves, stimulating muscle tone and blood circulation.

The special bowl shape formed by the two backrests provides optimal support. Every movement of the back leads to a counter movement of the backrests. This causes a massaging effect. Duo-Back® relieves pressure on the invertebral discs by approximately 50% more than standard backrests.

With the Duo-Back® there is a choice of mechanism with varying adjustments, starting at £455 + vat for the Type 11. The Type 11 has a plastic outer shell.

The Grahl Duo-Back® chair is one of the few models available with a split seat, ideal for users with circulatory problems or who need to straighten their legs out whilst seated. Each side of the seat pad can be independently adjusted to relieve pressure where needed.

You can combine the split seat with a free standing or fixed leg rest option to provide increased support to the legs.

Synchronous Mechanism: This chair can be used in a free float movement whereby the backrest and the seat move independently of each other in a 2:1 ratio. You can lock the chair into any position.

Free Float Mechanism: This mechanism allows you to move in the chair with the backrest and the seat moving in synch with each other.

Multi-lock tilting mechanism with weight tension control. Free Float Mechanism: This mechanism allows you to move in the chair with the backrest and the seat moving in synch with each other.

Duo-Back® Type 11. The Type 11 has a plastic outer shell.
