Variable was first introduced 20 years ago, incorporating the balans concept. When you sit on a Variable you’ll use the wooden runners to distribute your body weight. This automatically straightens up and balances the spine properly over the pelvis.

Using the shape of the runners the body weight will regulate the position of the chair and the knee pads will prevent the body from sliding forwards.

With a tilting seat, your sitting position creates a natural open angle between thigh and torso, making breathing easier and promoting a natural curve of the spine.

This chair promotes movement through the runners, allowing you to regulate the position of your spine and increase blood flow to the spine.

The Variable is available in a selection of high quality fabrics and colours. The standard fabric is Crusvik.

The wood used by the manufacturers is cultivated and generally beech. Products may be delivered with untreated wooden parts, but usually come varnished, wood stained, oiled or waxed.
